IMA / C2I code
Because every injector has small manufacturing tolerances, an individual code is stored on it, referred to as the IMA or C2I code depending on the manufacturer. If this code is not entered correctly into the engine control unit after replacement, the engine may run roughly or show fault codes, even though the injector itself is technically sound.
