SCR / AdBlue
SCR stands for selective catalytic reduction. AdBlue, a urea-water solution, is injected into the exhaust line and converts nitrogen oxides into water and nitrogen at the catalyst. Without a working SCR system the vehicle usually reduces engine power automatically in order to stay within emission limits.
